Reconciliation Golf Day 2024

The greens at the MGC witnessed more than just swings and putts; they became the backdrop for a remarkable day of unity and celebration at the Reconciliation Golf Day 2024.

Underneath the perfect skies and amidst a fantastic turnout, attendees experienced a blend of golfing joy and the spirit of reconciliation. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including the Hon. Jo Haylen, our local MP, and Clr Mat Howard, Councillor for Marrickville Midjuburi Ward, whose presence added immense value to the occasion.

Adding cultural richness to the day was the mesmerizing performance by the Buuja Buuja-Butterfly Dance Group, captivating all with their grace and talent. Special thanks are owed to Ruth Callaghan, IWC's Community Director, for flawlessly handling prize presentations, and Deb Lennis, IWC's Cultural Advisor, for orchestrating the event seamlessly.

Delicious fare was provided by Wharf St Kitchen, treating attendees to scrumptious bacon and egg rolls for breakfast before hitting the greens, followed by a BBQ buffet for lunch after the golf session.

The Reconciliation Golf Day 2024 was not just about golf; it was about fostering connections, celebrating diversity, and embracing reconciliation both on and off the green. Thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed, and made this day one to remember.
