All are welcome to come down to Marrickville Golf Club to join The Mudcrabs Cooks River Eco Volunteers for their next riverside clean up. Important work surrounded by friendly and community spirit to ensure the river stays a beautiful and healthy habitat.
Where: Meet at MGC Footbridge (near the 1st Tee)
When: Saturday 22nd March.
Time: 9 am to 11:30 am followed by morning tea.
RSVP: No need to confirm attendance - just show up on the day!
Task: Removing litter from the mangroves beside the walking path at Wave Rock near the 17th fairway.
Bring: Yourself, Comfortable Clothes, Gumboots and Gardening Gloves.
The low tide on Saturday morning is at 9.35 am at a height of 0.72 m. Work will be done at the mangrove flats at dead low tide at 9 am so gumboots are in order! Weather is expected to be a very pleasant 20 to 24 degrees during the working bee.
Bags and grabbers will be provided, but please bring your own gardening gloves to attend the clean up if you have them. As always please do not come if you are advised to stay home for health reasons. Participants will be covered by CRVA insurance.
After Council will pick up the bags from the end of Alfred St near the 17th tee.
